Lonnies Performance Automotive - '82 Chevy Duramax Project
The listed project is the Modification/Restoration of an early 80's Chevy Truck.  The goal is to create a show quality vehicle with an unaltered body & frame to retain the classic looks of the vehicle, but to improve the performance and functionality with the use of modern running gear & creature comforts.  Every attempt will be made to utilize all of the 2005 GMC 2500HD donor vehicle features.  The only exceptions may be the elimination of the air bags (due to the safety issues of using them in an application they were not specifically designed for) & the antilock brakes (because of the interface issues with the early non-abs axles).  Below is some preliminary info & photos for the project.  Please check back as it will be updated frequently.
