FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. Will my car sit lower or higher?      A. No. The original ride height is maintained. Only the Mustang application provides for ride height adjustability.
Q. Will the ride quality of my car be greatly changed?     A. The Control Arm design and material combined with the Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings will provide firm and responsive ride and handling without an overly harsh ride.
Q. Will cornering quality be improved?     A. Yes. Cornering will be enhanced through design, material and bushings. It will improve as much as would be felt by an after-market sway bar upgrade.
Q. Can anyone install the Lower Control Arms?     A. Certain applications such as GM F-Body installations can be completed with basic tools and automotive knowledge. Other applications require precise measuring when using the exclusive METCO ICM brackets. On all models the use of a chassis/frame lift makes change out much easier. Experienced mechanics are fully capable of installations.
Q. Do I need to realign my car after installing the new Control Arms?     A. No, as long as instructions are followed.
Q. Are instructions included?      A. Yes, very detailed instructions.
Q. Will my Pinion Angle be changed?     A. No, as long as you follow the instructions. Provisions and instructions are provided if you wish to pre load.
Q. I've heard that Polyurethane Bushings are noisy, are they?     A. Polyurethane has excellent shock-load characteristics and has a long service/wear life, but does require lubrication. All METCO  Control Arms are equipped with grease fittings. Periodic lubrication as with other chassis components is all that is required.
Q. How will the METCO Control Arms improve my acceleration?      A. The METCO Control Arm incorporated the most rigid bar design, solid Billet Aluminum as compared to tubular steel or open-channel OEM Control Arms, and firm Bushing material. Applied torque to the rear tires is now directed more to the tires than being absorbed into the chassis/suspension. By incorporating the exclusive METCO ICM Brackets the suspension geometry is altered to improve anti-squat thereby further improving torque-to-the-tire.
